The 100-cabin World Navigator will be the first of five identical ships designed to combine the best of luxury cruising with the best of expedition - a crossover product that will operate both in classic cruising destinations, such as the Mediterranean, and expedition-focused regions like Antarctica.
Our Insight
Atlas Ocean Voyages will offer a luxury atmosphere on board and a programme of exciting experiences ashore. The emphasis on active exploration is manifested in the included shore excursions available in every port and a choice of high-octane experiences, from hang gliding to white-water rafting, available at a reasonable supplement. Specially curated pre- and post-cruise land programmes will also appeal to the adventurous traveller.
On board everything is included and service levels will match those of their six-star rivals. Despite the ships' diminutive size there's a wraparound deck, jogging track, lecture theatre, two lounges, a main restaurant and al fresco dining poolside, and the majority of the accommodations have private balconies.
A complement of Zodiacs will enable landings in expedition regions, and the ships' hybrid diesel/electric engines and advanced propulsion will allow for excellent manoeuvrability in shallow waters, whether this be in a remote cove or a small yachting harbour, and will also reduce the environmental impact.
World Navigator's inaugural season begins in the Eastern Mediterranean, before travelling through the Western Mediterranean, Caribbean and South America, then on to Antarctica.
