Elegance, history and the renowned White Star Service are the key features of a cruise on board what Cunard call the ‘Most Famous Ocean Liners in the World’. The brand is widely recognised as the truly ‘British’ line, and this is something that the now-American owners have been very careful to respect. We think they have done a good job; the Cunard style remains unmistakeable.

Our Insight
Although Cunard's history is long, its fleet is surprisingly modern. Queen Mary 2, one of a kind, and (many are surprised to learn) the only purpose built ocean liner at sea today, was launched in 2004, and makes a stir around the world with her unique ocean-going profile. She carries 2,691 passengers; Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth, each carrying around 2,000, entered service in 2007 and 2010 respectively. All three are larger than we would usually recommend here at Mundy, but every rule has its deserving exceptions!
Queen Mary 2 is the only vessel to make regular transatlantic crossings - these stately six day journeys across the Atlantic between Southampton and New York, which hark back to the golden age of ocean travel, offer a glamorous and iconic travel experience which is maybe not to be missed. Seriously, when was the last time you spent days getting somewhere? It is really strangely both relaxing and exciting.
All three vessels operate exciting worldwide itineraries, including Grand Voyages and World Cruises. Regular UK departures mean that an easy no fly journey is at your fingertips, as you are enveloped by Cunard's White Star nurturing service the moment you step on board in Southampton.
Their space ensures a stimulating line-up of activities, spa and fitness facilities and dining opportunities on board, with some excellent alternative restaurants. Cunard's impressive line-up of guest lecturers includes some of the most respected names in the world: statesmen, politicians, writers, actors and explorers.
Choose your style of travel in advance: for something a little bit special, go for the Grill accommodation - higher levels of suite give you access to the exclusive Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants, along with dedicated lounges and deck areas.
